A few pictures I took in my Uhura costume. The rest are on my facebook page. My dad is a huge fan Star Trek fan and I remember growing up thinking how cool it was that this lady who looked like me was on tv going on all these great adventures. Uhura is such a dynamic, beautiful, smart character. Seeing black women written as well rounded characters, who are capable of being powerful as well as loveable is so important, especially in a genre that means so much to me. So yep, pretty much going to love Nyota Uhura forever and always.
